The Mount Continuing Care Community is currently seeking a summer student for the maintenance department. Reporting to the Facilities Supervisor, the maintenance worker is responsible for cleaning the building, cutting grass, as assisting the facilities team with all maintenance related tasks.
The successful candidate will possess the following qualifications: • Must be a full time student returning to school full time in the fall (high school, college, or university). • Ability to work as a team member and meet the physical requirements of the position. • Valid criminal record check.
Main responsibilities include but are not limited to: • Maintain cleanliness of the entire building. • Sweep, mop, and vacuum floors and carpets throughout the facility. • Empty all waste bins and dispose of contents appropriately. • Utilize and understand the use of multiple cleaning products. • Maintain all landscaping: cut and trim grass, weed flower beds, plant flowers, trim and maintain shrubs, mulch, leave removal, watering and fertilizing. • Repair and patch dents, scratches, and walls; prepare surfaces for painting, paint surfaces. • Keep outdoor areas clean and tidy by removing debris and garbage. • Move furniture and equipment. • Assist with the move-in process for residents: move luggage, furniture, and other equipment to their room. • Ability to handle sensitive information with the highest degree of integrity and confidentiality. • Other duties as required.

Shifts may range from 4 to 12 hours, with a combination of days, evenings, every 2nd weekend and holidays. The successful applicant must be able to work a combination of shifts, with flexibility.
Position Available: Temp- 100% Wage: $14.47 Hourly
