Flu Shots - starting in October 2022

The influenza vaccine is administered annually to residents and staff, starting in October. We encourage you to get the flu shot as well in order to protect those around you. Long-term care residents are more vulnerable than the general population when it comes to the flu and have more complications - including death - if they become ill.

As a reminder:

• Wash your hands with alcohol based hand sanitizer when entering and leaving The Mount.
• Get a flu shot.
• Reschedule your visit if you are unwell.

As the next of kin or family member, you will need to consent to the influenza vaccination for your loved one. Please choose one of the options:

1. Fill out a paper copy when you are at The Mount
2. Download the PDF consent sheet and drop it off to the front office or email it to [email protected]
