Purpose of Position Reporting to the administrator, the Financial Assistance Officer is responsible for providing Financial and clerical services to ensure effective and efficient operations. The Financial Assistance Officer will also act in compliance with Provincial Community Care and Nursing Care Regulations.
Main Duties
• Take messages over the phone and in person. • Greet and direct guest and visitors. • Stock office supplies. • Prepare mail-outs. • Prepare letters, perform data entry, and complete online forms. • Use Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Office. Perform statistical analysis. • Use Simply Accounting for data entry. • Use payroll software to enter, check, and change schedules, as well as to assist with payroll. • Ability to handle sensitive information with the highest degree of integrity and confidentiality • Assist other departments as needed. • Other duties as required.
Requirements
Minimum bachelor’s degree in a business-related field
experience with financial data entry, attention to detail
Ability to work as a team member and ability to meet the physical requirements of the position.
Preference will be given to individuals with demonstrated experience in the medical field.
Working Environment
Rotating shifts of 3 hours up to 12 hours.
Rotating shifts including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays. Schedule includes working every second weekend.
Frequent interaction with residents, family members, and the public.
Position available: Full Time Permanent (100%, 75 hours bi-weekly).
Wage Range: $40,000-50,000 per year depending on experience.
