PEI has procured the RSV vaccine ABRYSVO™ for our Long Term Care (LTC) and Community Care (CC) residents for the upcoming 2024-2025 RSV season.
Respiratory syncytial virus (RSV) is a common respiratory virus that accounts for a significant burden of disease in older adults. RSV disease can have serious complications for older adults, including hospitalization, intensive care unit admission, and death.
Recommendations for LTC and Community Care residents to receive RSV vaccine: •Persons 60 years of age and older who are residents of Long Term Care (LTC) or Community Care (CC).
