Purpose of Position Reporting to the administrator, the administrative assistant is responsible for providing administrative and clerical services to ensure effective and efficient operations. The administrative assistant will also act in compliance with Provincial Community Care and Nursing Care Regulations.
• Take messages over the phone and in person. • Greet and direct guest and visitors. • Stock office supplies. • Prepare mail-outs. • Prepare letters, perform data entry, and complete online forms. • Update the website, Facebook page, and other social media sites. • Use Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Office. Perform statistical analysis. • Use Simply Accounting for data entry. • Use payroll software to enter, check, and change schedules, as well as to assist with payroll. • Ability to handle sensitive information with the highest degree of integrity and confidentiality. • Accept deliveries and prepare packages for pick-up. • Assist other departments as needed. • Enter schedules, call staff for shifts, set up orientation packages for new staff. • Other duties as required.
Completion of a university or college, or other recognized program.
Ability to work as a team member and ability to meet the physical requirements of the position.
Preference will be given to individuals with demonstrated experience in the medical field.
Rotating shifts of 3 hours up to 12 hours.
Rotating shifts including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays. Schedule includes working every second weekend.
Frequent interaction with residents, family members, and the public.
Position available: Part Time Permanent (75%, 56 hours bi-weekly. End date to be determined).
Wage Range: $11.30 to 14.50 per hour, depending on experience.
